Directing Rates
Directing Rates are factored a little differently, considering the time and energy requirement doesn't start and stop at call or wrap time, nor should it. Generally speaking my rate agreement will be a flat rate on a weekly basis, based on the amount of time i'm allowed to dedicate solely to your project, but as we all know, budgets are amorphous and rarely easy to standardize. If I'm your Director, we're on the same team to make the project great, and your overall budget/project needs will be taken into consideration when choosing the proper amount of allocated time and the subsequent rate.
EDITING Rates
Option 1 // HOURLY ($50/hr)
One way to handle the editing of your project is an hourly rate. This is the right choice if you have a very small easy-to-process editing need, or, on larger projects, if you happen to be the type of creative who wants to sit alongside your editor and deliver notes in person to view a multitude of shot/cutting options live together. This will allow you to only be billed for time you are present for. With the right creative process and proper focus, A LOT can be accomplished in a short amount of time.

Option 2 // FLAT RATE
My preferred editing process involves a flat rate negotiated between us based upon the size and time commitment of your project. In this agreement I will be able to send completed work (rough cuts and finals) on exact delivery dates we lay out beforehand, as well as an pre-agreed upon number of note passes, one of which could and should be in person, where we finalize the edit together. In this method a flat rate will be paid out in half upon start, and half upon completion. If further work needs to be done after we reach our agreed upon completion, we can switch to hourly or negotiate a second flat rate based on your needs!
